"Recently, I completed a custom job for a client in Sarasota. Our local weather played a big role in the design process. We were working on a beautiful custom project made from solid wood. The problem was the humidity in the area presented a challenge.
Had we not thought ahead and been proactive, we might have had some warping or swelling. But I used special sealants to protect the wood from moisture. We also installed a dehumidifier in the kitchen to keep the air dry. This way, the wood stays in perfect condition all year 'round."
